At Legrand, both our raw materials and end products are checked on a daily basis. We use sampling such as taste-testing, chemical tests and optical tests to ensure we have consistent quality every day. Action is taken if there is any defect. We have implemented wise-scale automation, meaning we can do this quickly and correctly. During the production process, we also carry out mechanical and optical checks. These are done both by machines and by our staff. Rejected potatoes or chips (wrong shapes or lengths) are processed on an alternative production line, where possible, to meet our standards. This way, we incur minimal losses and are able to guarantee price/quality. Read more about our production process here.

The production process and our infrastructure are also inspected by external parties on a regular basis. We are proud to be IFS-certified, with an exceptionally high score of 97.39%. We are also certified by the Feed Chain Alliance. It allows us to offer the potato skins we have steamed off for use as livestock feed. This allows us to guarantee as small an environmental impact as possible.
